Here is the quilt that I was inspired to make this week. It is a small 10 by 10 inch quilt. I tried sandwiching the quilt with tulle.I have never done this before but it was a great deal of fun.

Faith Ringgold-If One Can Anyone Can.....

All you gotta do it try..........

I am a Jr. High teacher and the Art teacher at our school was teaching a lesson about Faith Ringgold. I watched the movie about her work with the students and I was inspired to make a little quilt. Faith is amazing and I forgot about her beautiful art work.

She was also involved in the civil rights movement and her flag for the moon print die Nigger is the most bought post card and the metropolitan museum of Art in NY City.

Dragonflies

I love dragonflies! Here is a small 9 x 11 inch quilt I made using paints and some beading.

Another view

Here is another view of my quilt, I am wondering if I should add more hair to the picture?

Quilting

I am trying to add my art into my quilting. I am reading many blogs and learning new techniques. Here is my first attempt that I am working on. My daughter wants a black and white quilt with a teal strip in it. This pictures looks blue but it is teal.
